How to turn Gates to Pitch using a Slew Limiter.
Here’s a patch i came up with using a Moog DFAM’s trigger out to create 2 independent pitch sequences using Make Noise Maths. An easy way to expand on the DFAM’s capabilities and a fun way to come up with arpeggios or sequences you may never think of using a conventional sequencer or playing an instrument…also a good way to get more pitch CV if you’re out of outputs.
This technique will work with any gate/trigger signal and any slew limiter or Envelope Generator….but here’s what I used this time:
- Moog DFAM
- 2 Moog Mother-32s
- Make Noise Maths
- Intellijel Scales (Quantizer)
- Intellijel Buffered Mult
“Bonus” Gear:
- Intellijel Quadrax
- Mutable Instruments Stages (as clock divider)
- Mutable Instruments Ears (as switch/trigger for clock divider)
- Eventide Timefactor Delay
